WrestleMania is coming up and it is time to take a good look at what to get excited about.

This big news following this week seems to be the inevitable pairing of Sheamus, Orton, and Big Show to take on The Shield.

I’m joking, that is not the big news. The big news is that CM Punk will challenge the Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. After Punk lost his rematch chance to John Cena, fans everywhere knew that there could be only one opponent for CM Punk. Here is the funny thing, this is not the first time they faced each other one-on-one. They had a short feud back in 2009, where a then-heel Teddy Long prevented Undertaker from defeating CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on more than one occasion, one of which was an imitation of the Montreal Screwjob. That feud came to its end at Hell in the Cell 2009, where The Undertaker defeated the straight-edge superstar in a Hell in the Cell match and won the World Heavyweight Championship. Coincidentally, it should be noted that this PPV also took place in New Jersey, at the Prudential Center.

Is New Jersey an unlucky location for CM Punk?

Many wrestling fans almost forgot the two feuded over a championship just five years ago, but thanks to Google and Wikipedia, fans got a good refresher. It was different then, Punk was not the flag-bearer for WWE at the time and following his title loss to Undertaker, wound up mid-carding as the leader of the Straight Edge Society, and then returned to some main events as the leader of the New Nexus.

It took almost two years for CM Punk to regain attention, this time as the antagonistic fan-favorite which made him famous in Ring of Honor. His truthful tirades and attacks against the “corporate Triple H and Vince McMahon” made him the rebel which fans love to see. Having won the WWE Championship on the night his contract expired, solidifying Punk as the new man whom WWE fans wanted to see. The “pipe bomb” promos were unbeatable.

Even as a heel, Punk still cuts the best promos in the business. If there was ever a time for the Undertaker to be challenged by someone who could believably end the streak, this is it, and it is CM Punk.

Will Punk actually be the man to do it? In past years matches with Shawn Michaels and Triple H had fans guessing the very same thing.

Will Undertaker retire at 20-1?
